ESC T3 PUNISHER youth teams are separated by skill level into three teams: 1st year/developmental and boys open competition and girls open competition. Folk style season runs November to end of March and off-season wrestling training runs April to October.
Additional information is provided below for each team.
This program is for girl and boy wrestlers that have completed 8 sessions of our introduction to wrestling program or have a fundamental base of wrestling knowledge and want to take the next step and learn to compete in tournaments and matches. This program includes offseason and in season wrestling training. Offseason includes training in all forms of wrestling including folk style, free style and Greco. In season training primarily focuses on folk style wrestling.
This program is for ESC T3 Punisher club members.
Rates are $50 per month for in season and offseason + the gear package.
For our teams we use different color singlets to distinguish experience. As the wrestlers progress, they will LEVEL UP and they will be awarded a new rank singlet.
1st year & developmental club members will work to earn their ESC Royal Blue singlet (level 1) and competitive gear before competing. To earn their singlet, they must demonstrate a general understanding of wrestling before being allowed to compete. This is to keep wrestlers safe. We do not want unexperienced wrestlers going to a tournament and getting injured as their first experience.
Requirements:
1) The program will require candidates to apply to be on the 1st year team.
2) Requirements include completing 8 weeks or more of the Intro to Wrestling sessions or equivalent experience and having focus and drive to improve in the sport and compete.
3) ESC T3 Punishers wrestlers must have a gear package which includes a folk style singlet, competition shorts and shirt and practice gear package ($150). Freestyle competition singlets are additional. Competition gear must be worn in team competition events and practice gear must be worn at practice.
4) The program will run year-round. During fall sports season practices will be scaled back to help fall sports players.
5) Team members are required to attend the majority of the practices to stay on the club team in season. There will be 2 to 3 practices per week for 1.5 to 2 hours in season.
6) Wrestlers are recommended to practice with the club throughout the entire year to improve even in the offseason however this is not mandatory for multisport athletes.
7) Club dues are $50 per month. Gear packages are sold extra.
